How can we change something?
Let’s start by taking responsibility.
It starts with understanding who we are and how we have become ourselves.
It also starts with cutting ourselves some slack and giving up on blaming others or circumstances for what we don’t have or didn’t get. But it takes time.
It starts with giving yourself the understanding that you expect from others.

Have you ever reflected on how you treat others? What do you expect from them? Do you always think about what you’re going to get out of a relationship?
Or maybe you always try to please others because you’re afraid of being left.
Or you even avoid getting too attached in order to prevent being hurt.

How do you define LOVE, RESPONSIBILITY, and TIME? Why do you define them like that?

We’re not lonely islands; we exist in a context — a historical, social, cultural, and economic context.
Our lives have been influenced by those around us. And their lives were also shaped by the time, the environment — both natural and social — and the resources that were available to them.
Their past shaped our future. But we live in the present. And we’re also responsible for someone’s future — not only ours, but that of the next generations.

Even if we think we don’t have any impact — we do.
Even if it’s on a macroscale, we can still do something.
Even if it’s just a small choice — like being kind to someone.
Also to yourself.

👉 Psychotherapy and self-work can be one of the ways to take responsibility and to reclaim your sense of agency.
It’s a way to consciously look at what you can influence — in yourself and in the world around you.
